R.C. Mathews Earns Three Eagle Awards at ABC Greater Tennessee Excellence in Construction Awards
Nashville, Tenn. — R.C. Mathews is proud to announce that three of its projects, Category 10, 445 Park Commons, and Wiseman Hall, have each received Eagle (First Place) honors at the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Greater Tennessee Excellence in Construction Awards. The awards recognize projects that demonstrate outstanding quality control, innovation, productivity, and the ability to overcome complex construction challenges.
Category 10 is a 60,671-square-foot transformation of the former Wildhorse Saloon into a premier, multi-level entertainment destination. Built for Opry Entertainment Group in collaboration with Luke Combs, the project features four interconnected floors with six bars, three performance stages, immersive entertainment areas, downtown Nashville’s largest rooftop, and a 6,000-square-foot dance floor. Extensive structural and interior renovations were completed to create a seamless environment designed for live music and high-energy crowds.
445 Park Commons is a 310,869-square-foot mixed-income, multi-family development constructed on a tight urban site between the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and GEODIS Park. The project includes a 335-unit residential building and a 162,418-square-foot, 487-space parking garage. High STC assemblies and complex logistical coordination were required to deliver a community designed to promote economic inclusivity.
Wiseman Hall, Belmont University’s newest and largest residence hall, welcomed students in Fall 2025. The 307,854-square-foot building houses 729 students and includes a 3,100-square-foot state-of-the-art esports suite, a 5,200-square-foot catering kitchen, a 2,200-square-foot market, 4,042 square feet of retail space, and numerous shared areas designed to foster student connection and learning. The project was completed on a fast-track schedule in the center of an active campus.
