The Hermitage Hotel was Nashville's first million-dollar hotel when it opened in 1910. R.C. Mathews Contractor was selected to do a total renovation and upgrade to make this Tennessee's first AAA Five-Diamond hotel. Upon reopening February 2003, the hotel included a newly created grand foyer with stained glass ceiling (pictured above), a complete facelift of the restaurant and grand ballroom, and completely new oversized guest rooms. Each of the guest room floors was totally demolished and rebuilt with new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, walls and finishes.
